Mend Peugeot 106 Front

My peugeot 106 has a knock at the front?

there is a knock from the front when i go over a bump and when i set off, all the balljoints seem to be fine and the bushes, could a problem with the gearbox make it knock?

we have got 2 peugeots 307 on a 02 and 07 plates and both cars knock going over little bumps.Ihave had them both up on ramps and it is the drop down link bars that are worn at the joints £12 each.Got told its a common fault with all peugeots!!!

gearbox is most unlikely...balljoints can be hard to feel play in so could still be balljoint or drop link or coil spring or top mount. worn Balljoint may cause the car to wander under acceleration.
