How do I reprogramme the car fob on a Rover 620gsi?

I have changed the battery on the car fob for my Rover 620gsi (L reg) and now it will not disengage the immobiliser. Can you help please???

Rover Rover 620gsi Vehicles, Cars Changed Battery Reg

On 200s & 400s, it's four quick presses on the LOCK button (only) to re-synchronise car with fob.

unlock the car with the key then press either one of the button's four times quickly holding it close to the car,best of luck
