start up?

I have been through various options on my 640 and can't even find an overpriced Miele engineer locally!
Some options.
Refill the salt: multi-part dishwasher tablets don't hack it, the resin used to water soften blocks and the resin 'sensor' can stop water intake. This is a part of the design.
Go online for the relevant manual and run through the bits inside (like the drain area to lower spray arm pump assembly) for blockages.
Check the fancy, big grey, inlet valve on the water inlet cable. It has a filter than can block. Aparently this is expensive to replace (hundreds of squids)
