Problem on Hotpoint dishwasher BFT680X?

Error A01 says anti flood switch problem Removed dishwasher disconnected switch ran machine in cycle and linked two wires going to switch Error A01 immediately Reset start any cycle waste pump starts then water fills main pump pumps water around After about 8 minutes on any cycle Error A01 ???

So, despite linking out the switch, the controller THINKS trhe flood switch is activated.

Can you link out the switch at the controller end and eliminate the wiring?

If the problem persists, that would suggest either the controller hasa problem or linking ou all the time isn't appropriate - although I doubt that
