Mend Craftsman 42" Lawnmower Clutch Deck

how to replace a cable clutch 42" in a craftsman riding lawnmower?

the cable that ingages the blades broke under the mower, and I would need a detaled instructions on how to replace it. Do I need to drop the mower deck? and how do I get exposure to the upper part of the cable?
