Mend Craftsman 917270911 Riding Mower Repair

my riding lawnmower shuts off as soon as I remove my foot from the brake. W?

My Craftsman model 917270911 shuts off as soon as I remove my foot from the brake/clutch. This happens no matter if it is in gear or in neutral, no matter if the mowing deck is engaged or not. Why? What can I do/how do I repair this?

The sensor in the seat isnt working. It is a safety that kills the engine if you dismount when the brake/clutch isnt engaged. Yours appears to be malfunctioning.
