I've had a casio CMD-40B watch for over 5 years now. It recently died, and I took it to get the battery replaced today, after that, it worked fine. I got home and began to use it, and it froze. I couldn't get it to unfreeze, so I simply took the battery out and put it back in. To my surprise, it's still froze! Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
They're cheap. If you can't fix it toss it and buy another watch.

That was a cool tip Mark!
Thanks!

I found this page in a Service Manual too:

I've had similar issues with this watch, but I think I was able to get my watch working again by holding all three side buttons down for a few seconds (set/shift, select/c and mode buttons). That seemed to unfreeze the screen.

look for a little point in the back of the watch marked 'AC' (All Clear), and make contact between that point and the battery with any conductive item (like metal tweezers, a bent paperclip etc), and this should reset the watch.
