Mend Briggs & Stratton Lawn Mower Engine Repair

14.5 hp briggs/stratton Industrial/Commercial won't start?

I replaced the solenoid, battery, starter all new. When I turn the key on the starter gear moves but once it lock into the flywheel nothing. I can turn the flywheel by hand so not frozen what else could be the problem?

Briggs & Stratton Garden Tools, Lawn Mowers Lawn Mower Engine Repair

If the engine is overhead valve, the valves may be out of adjustment. If it is not overhead valve, the compression release may not be working. Either of these conditions will make the engine compression too high for the starter to overcome.
