Why does water flow from cold filler tap even when machine switched off?
We're trying to plumb in a washing machine. Have attached cold water filler pipe but when we turn on the tap the water flows through the pipe and ends up all over the floor.
I've just noticed that the water appears to be coming from 3 small holes in the part adjacent to the cold water inlet point on the washing machine (sorry I don't know the technical terms). Should this be capped off?
We were given the washing machine, a Tricity Bendix aw1200w so it#s possible there could be some bits missing. I just found the user manul online and it cinfirms that it is a cold water fill only.

no"1/ Have you cross threaded the pipe connection on the
back of the washer .
No"2/ Have a look under the washer and see if the sump hose is loose .
Failing that you need an engineer

did you insert a new rubber washer inside of the hose fitting before trying to connect to the rear of the machine.
