Once I have selected a wash cycle & it is switched on, the
programme does not progress ? Any suggestions please?

As this is a relatively old model, is it worth repairing it or think abt getting a new one?

Does water enter the machine? Without water washing is unlikely - are you confident that the water inlet valve is operating?
