This can be done from the front. Open the door and remove the trim around the seal. Unclip the seal and push it inside the machine. Pull out the the powder drawer, pull off the two knobs on the right. Work out the screws to take out to release the plastic top front panel. (Two were under the far right knob.) There is no need to take out the powder dispenser or the buttons.
When the plastic cover comes off, carefully unclip the neon bulbs.
There are some screws (4?) to release the top of the door panel. Take out the screws and the entire front panel will tilt forward giving you access to the clamp band holding the inner seal in place. Fully undo the clamp band as it has a lip on the inside. Remove the clamp band and note the position of the old seal.
Lubricate the new seal with washing up liquid and refit it to the drum first and replace but don't tighten the clamp band. Rotate the seal and align the slight depression on the outer face with the door hinge. Tighten the clamp band and refix the front panel. You may have to ease the door seal to get the trim back. Replace front panel plastic control panel knobs and the rest is quite obvious.
Tim'll fix it
