Mend Clutch Slave Replaced

How do I adjust clutch on my 2950 John Deer?

I had my slave cylinder go bad. I have replaced both master and slave. Now clutch will not kick out. I have worked for hours to get air out and have back stroked the clutch lever. I wonder if clutch may need to be ajusted.

I am presuming that the clutch system is on an SG2 cab tractor. All the clutches on those type were non adjustable other than the free play once the clutch was bled up. The problem you have sounds like the one i always had when replacing the master or slave cylinder. It sounds like the system is full of air. To overcome this you need a squirty type oil can and a length of rubber hose. Fill the oil can with new fluid attach the rubber hose to the oil can spout and the other end on the clutch system bleed nipple. Open the nipple and pump the new fluid back through the system until the resevoir is filled to the correct level. Close off the bleed nipple and you should have a top clutch. Now if needed set your free play. Just enough so as the clevis pin in the master cylinder linkage will just rotate. Hope this is of some help.
