That explains it then - The wires on the bottom of the fuel filter where tightly twisted around each other - to the point of being frayed. I willgo through every fuse in the fusebox - Thankyou for your help.

That yellow light that is for the water in fuel and if this is not working it means it has shorted on the chassis and blown the fuse, which funnly enough shares the fuse with the speedo! So as I said check the fuses and now also check the wiring!

Fuses seem ok - would it be on a relay?
What is the Yellow light comes on the dash when you start up - I thought it was heater plugs light?

Start by checking the fuses then. Also it doesn't have a heater plug light because it doesn't have heater plugs!

Speedometre is not working nor the mileometre, the light for the heater plug is also off on the dash
