Mend Ford Transit Van 1998

My transit van 1998 2.5l won't start broke down a few week ago?

My transit 2.5l 1998 won't start broke down a few weeks ago and AA told me it was fuel filter. Put new 1 on and bump started it and it was fine till yday. Broke down again the exact same as before so got a new 1 again and tried bump start and getting nothing turns over ok but won't start any help ??

try filling filter with clean diesel before fitting,open up the injector pipes when cranking over and close when you get delivery of fuel up to them,check there are no fuel pipes rubbin/chaffing through and unions are tight,may be worth having a look at lift pump on n/s of engine also.Check timing belt is intact too.
