Mend Ford Transit 1998 Ignition

Ford Transit 1998 engine won't stop with the key?

I have just bought a 1998 Transit and it was fine until yesterday when suddenly the engine won't cut off using the key. I can turn off the ignition and remove the key and the engine just keeps going. I have to stall it to stop the engine. Any help will be appreciated.

will be fuel cut off on pump [stop solenoid] not closing,due to either debris holding it open or still getting an electrical feed to it, the latter can be ruled out by taking wire off stop solenoid-if it stops then it will be electrical fault.
