how to replace the door seal to hoover washing machine?

disconnect power from mains, look for a retainer (steel wire around the seal tucked tighly in) this needs removing, once seal retainer is off the pull the complete door seal off,get the new door seal, smear fairy liquid around the seal where it fits on to the metal and knead it securely on, then fit the retainer tightly on. (ex hotpoint engineer)
