sorry just re-read. you need to inform the seller you need the inner elements as the two end ones work. to be honest whist your doing this job you might as well replace the lot, as the outer elelments are likely to go belly up before the new ones you install and you don't want to be doing this job all the time

The Elements are easily replaceable. I got mine on Ebay and are not that expensive. The elments are very easy to replace. all you need is a good phillips (cross head) screwdriver. Switch the power off!!! all the screws are accessible on the sides and top of the toaster. it should take you no longer then 30 minutes. One last thing...remember to inform the seller that you want "end" elements as these are different to the other elments within the toaster. hope that helps...whatever you....don't dump it !! dualit toasters are the best Regards Dave
