No,It's kind of simple. It should have just 1 plug connecting to it & a bolt that screw on to the shaft of it to mount to the pedal back. The only thing is that when you install the new switch you will have to have someone to keep watching the lights as you adjust it to the right position. It's fairly simple though.Once you get the new switch & look at the old switch you will realize that it wont be that hard. Hope this helps you
