Hi dave thanks for repling have done what you said and checked everything all clear no blockages filter light still on can't find a reset button anywhere any idea!

Hi Steve is Your dryer vented out through the wall? If it is have a check that the vent outside is not blocked or sticking.A good way to check is to remove the pipe from rear of dryer and run machine to see if filter light goes off.
Other than that most dryers ive seen have a thermal cut out inside these are often resetable by pressing a red button on them.
