Mend Hotpoint WM52 Washing Machine Hot Water Hose

Can I blank off hot inlet feed on w/machine as I only have cold water supp?

Can I blank off Hot Water Inlet on Hotpoint Washing Machine #WM52without detriment effect to machine & use only one cold inlet hose, as I only have a cold water supply?There is no Hot water supply for the washing machine. Or do I have to use both inlet hoses connected to a "y" or "T" connector on the cold water feed?
