Mend Cold Water Pipe

can i use a cold water hose to connect hot water feed????

is it ok to use a cold water hose to connect hot water feed from pipe under sink to washing machine,can the cold water hose handle the hot water or will it burst???? just changed machines which requires a hot water feed,but havnt got a red hose but got a spare blue cold hose!!!!
