Mend Potterton Performa 24 Boiler Central Heating Combination

How can I fix my boiler Potterton Performa 24 conbimation boiler?

I can only get hot water when the central heating is switched on, if the heating is off there is no hot water. Please tell me what is causing this and how to repair it.

quite probable the diaphragm in the flow valve has perforated. To test you need to be able to view the boiler with front case off and when you turn on hot tap a spindle should come out of a brass section to make a switch at the bottom left of the boiler. If the spindle doesnt come out and make switch then the diaphragm will need looking at.
