how do i get the impeller off the shaft to replace the bearing on my john deere 50 water pump.

Use a press to press the bearing/shaft assy out of the housing towards the "front". The impellor will come off or even break, not to worry, a new kit contains bearing/shaft assy, seal, tool & new impellor. Don't forget to measure the distance of the pulley from the pump body before you start so you can reset this on assembly!!
