Mend Vokera Boiler Mynute 14

overfilled boiler?

I have a vokera mynute 14 se boiler. I have topped the air/water up but the pressure reading is now at the highest mark 4. water is spewing out of the pipe outside. how can i get the pressure lower and is it safe to put the heating on with the pressure so high. i have drained quite alot of water out of the kitchen radiator the pressure goes down for a while then goes back up to 4.

You can dowwnload the manual for your boiler as a pdf file from the vokera website, there have been posts here explaining how.
There is an overpressure valve that you can manually (twisted) open to let off system pressure (manual page 1 fig 1 part 17. You need to remove the outer case first.

If the pressure is low when cold and high then hot then your expansion vessel is not working. It will need recharging, discussed here for example.

and elsewhere if you search.

The expansion vessel is a largish red container behind the boiler with a car tyre type valve on the top. For your model it has a capacity of a gallon (I cant see the pressure specified anywhere in the manual but somewhere in the range 12 to 15psi should be fine)
