I have a snapper mower with a tecumseh motor 8hp xl . It stars and runs fine but when I engage the blade it runs fine, once I hit the gass to cut it it bogs down and unless I disengage the blade it will stall. I have pulled the carb and cleaned it, checked the spindle and pulleys for binding, adjusted the carb over and over. It all runs fine but once I start to mow the grass it dies. Help please
Suggest you back out the high speed mixture screw a half turn. When you hit the grass the throttle snaps open and the engine leans out and dies (similar to a failed accellerator pump on a car). Compensate by richening up the mixture. If it's non adjustable, then I suggest you have an air leak downstream of the throttle butterfly.
