My Novagard 2 SAB keeps activating (panel Veritas 8Compact)?

Hi, I hope some one can help. I Have replaced an existing alarm with a Veritas8 Compact. The SAB is the Gardtech Novagard 2. As an existing system I connected the Veritas 8 to the 6 zoned PIR's and the SAB. I wired exactly as per the Installation Manual. When I connect the internal SAB battery the bell produces an alarm signal, the alarm does not activate untill I connect this battery. Also I can create a tamper on the Panel which causes an alarm activation without the battery connected. Any advice would be much apprecaiated,
