I placed in the hardware before downloading the software. And uploaded 30GB of files (music) to the hard drive. And disconnected it from the computer. And now when I want to add more to the hard drive, or even access what I stored on there I can't. The computer cannot read the hard drive, does not even acknowledge it's there. Not even if I change the USB cord, or the computer I use to read the information. How can I get my files back, or get the computer to recognize the hard drive again.

Which operating system are you using, this external drive appears to work with every version of windows except for Vista.
Try another operating system and you should be able to access your files

That hard drive has a 1 year warranty on it. Mine was replaced at 3 months, and failed again five days after the warranty expired. If you get it replaced under warranty, sell it quick on eBay. It's a piece of XXXX, which will leave you high and dry again shortly. Spend a bit more money and get a better unit, with extended warranty.
