Can the needle position be changed on my 940 viking?

I have inherited a Viking sewing machine model 940. I can't figure out how to change the needel position. Can you help me?

Hello Sandy,
Where it shows straight stitch on the front panel you should be able to press the button and the needle should change left, middle, right, any problems send me an e-mail.
