Simpson Esprit 450 - Filter in agitator stopped filtering?
used to have to empty filter "sock" from inside agitator each wash or so as have dogs that lose a lot of hair. now, nothing in it (no hole in it, and the centre piece of the agitator is clear)
probably the dogleg gear chewed out.
When you unscrew the the anchor bolt in the middle of the agitator and lift the agitator out of the washing machine you will see the remains of the plastic chewed out by the gear. contact supplier for new agitator.

Interested in an answer to this as well. The machine is not "cleaning" as well as it should be.
