how can i use my voice in yahoo through my firewall?

when i sign into yahoo chatrooms through messenger, it always tells me that i cant use voice as i am behind a firewall.I have shut down windows firewall, what else can i do?it wont let me download music or view cams or use my voice.i am running windows xp

If you have the ability or the knowledge, try putting your PC's IP into the DMZ, this will allow your PC to be outside your firewall but still keep your network safe.

Windows firewall shouldnt stop you doing that. Are you sure you dont have another firewall running?
