how to replace a fly wheel on a briggs and stratton 12.h hps?

Remove everything you need to get access to the flywheel. Remove the nut securing the flywheel. You should see two bolt holes on top of the flywheel. This is where you connect a wheel puller. In this case a steering wheel puller should work just fine. Schucks has them for about $8.00. Follow directions on the package. A light tap with a hammer (on the bolt putting pressure on the crankshaft) may be needed to get the flywheel to release.
