Mend Hotpoint WMA61 Machine Lock

WMA61 Hotpoint Washing Machine Safety Lock?

The safety lock which prevents the machine door being opened during operation stays on and locked after the wash cycle, and cannot open the door.
Have checked the plubling and draining to see if this is all OK, seems No problem.

Is there a permanent fix?

Is the machine emptying all the water out ? if so sounds like possible you need a new door lock as is sticking

Hello Ash,
If you are certain that all the water has drained out of the machine and the door lock does not operate, I would suggest a new door lock, they are very easy to fit and not expensive.
