Mend Sony Trinitron Problem Light Flash

Problem with Sony trinitron?

After turning on the Sony TV the picture would go out and the standby light would flash 3 times. Now there is no picture. Someone suggested it could be transformers, but I am looking for more information. Anyone else have this problem and if so, is it worth fixing?
