Mend Kenmore 2 speed Washer Spin Motor

Kenmore washer spin problems?

Hi. I have a five year old top loading Kenmore 2 speed washer. Sometimes the basket won't spin. When the basket doesn't spin, the motor is still running, so I've pretty much ruled out a bad lid switch. Other times, w/o rhyme or reason it will spin fine. Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated!

It could possobly be a belt conecting the motor to the drive
it could be streched you could try a heavy load of washing and se if it stops wich would indicate loose or streched belt ive
not worked on this model so its only a sugestion but i hope it helps.
