how can I repair my Dualit K3 kettle?

I have a K3 Dualit kettle in mint condition and very precious to me as my late parents bought it for me - my element needs to be replaced too as the kettle is leaking from the part where you plug in the lead but Dualit simply tell me that the parts were "discontinued years ago along with that kettle" the kettle is 8 years old and has not got a mark on it - it seems so silly you cannot get parts for such an expensive kettle.
