Mend Frigidaire FRS26XNH Side Either

Frigidaire side by side is not coooling either side?

Today I opened both sides (freezer and refrig. Both sides were as if the unit had never been turned on. The unit is running but not cooling. I read earlier answer the suggested having coolant added. Would this fix my problem? The unit is 8 yrs old and has presented no problems whatsoever.

I am not familiar with the cabinet you describe, however, if it is a side by side it will definitely have 2 seperate systems. I appreciate that it may be a problem for you to do, but I need to know whether there is one or two compressors around the back of the cabinet. This will help greatly to determine a possible problem.... thanks
