Mend Side Refrigerator Door

How can I fix my Admiral 'Side by Side' Refrigerator?

The ice & water dispensor are stuck on 'on' for either- ie unless I open the freezer door it's trying to provide ice cubes or (if I slide the lever across) water. It's as though a fuse has gone so that the ice / water dispenser are permamently engaged.

admiral dispensers are not complicated.
well, not compared to other models,

its gonna be the microswitch behind the rubber pad.

you may find that if the ice door flap has been held open for too long, the solonoid in the disp overheats and starts melting things.
