my cd player/changer doesent play cds?

my philips 3 disk cd changer will not play cds. i put 3 disks in it and it says no disk.

I also have the same problem with my goodmans music centre cannot get it to play once a cd has been loaded, I have tried different ways of trying to get them to play but once the message no disc comes on the I am unable to get the cd to rotate to the next position.

i have the exact smae problem with the smae type of stereo, so far i have found no way to fix it, lets both hope someone gives a good answer!!
