main burner does not come on pilot light is on?

The boiler flow switch and the air pressure switch both need to operate before the burner is turned on.

You could check for operation of the switches with a multimeter on ac volts, but be carefull, they may carry mains voltage. Download the manual from www.vokera.co.uk.

Google 'vokera flue venturi' for information on air pressure switch problems. The boiler probably just needs its regular maintenance, from a someone familiar with the make and model.
