Mend Craftsman Motor Riding Mower

Why is my 2003ish Craftsman 20hp, Kohler motor, riding mower smoking?

We have a Craftsman DLT 2000 with a 20 hp Kohler motor 2 cylinder pressurized oil system. After running out of gas, we filled it up, started it, and now its smoking like crazy. Didn't spill gas, or oil, please help.

From the sounds of it when you ran out of gas your float have got stuck open which is letting to much gas in which is giving you the smoke.Black smoke gas-Blue smoke oil(as a general rule).
