Mend Peugeot 106 Headlight Bulb

How do you change the headlight bulb in a Peugeot 106?

Pegeot 106 1.1 Indipendence 2001
Having read the Peugeot 106 instruction book on how to change your headlight bulb I dutively took off the cover and disconnected the power to the bulb. it then says push clip and remove bulb. However I have pushed, pulled, sworn all to no avail could someone help me out please?

From the uppermost part of the clip(which you can feel but not see) you need to push with your thumb in the direction of the steering wheel. the clip will not be lost when it releases as it is attached in a hinge like motion at the bottom.
