Mend Peugeot 206 GTi Gti

Peugeot 206 Speedo & other electrics issues?

Hi, I have a Peugeot 206 GTi 2001 51 plate, recently the Speedo is giving low readings (approx. 10 miles lower than actual). Also the LHS headlight is not working (tried a new bulb) and the headlights come on intermittently. Incidentally the display is suddenly showing in a language I don't recognise.

Any help on diagnosing if there's a common fault & how to resolve the issues would be much appreciated :)

I'd suspect the battery if it's still on the original one. A failing battery can give all sorts of spurious readings.

How old is the battery?
