help with hitachi wide flat screen tv?

I have a flat wide screen hitachi tv, when using sky, I cannot read the bottom part of the menu. I have tried going into the zoom, cinema and panaromic area, but it did not work. What can i do to amend the size of the screen.

is it the same symptom on 'normal' tv or only sky?
if sky, then go to setup menu in the digi box and check the tv output type.
