Mend Hoover PE235 Washing Machine Repair Appliance

Hoover PE235 washing machine won't stop filling?

Switched it on, does the usual short fill, then pauses, then starts to fill again... but won't stop filling, therefore never commences wash cycle. Any ideas? Apart from the fact it's a crummy machine anyway?
