Mend Norton Internet Security Suddenly Started Working

Why has Norton Security suddenly started to block my internet connection?

I have had my PC with Norton Internet security installed and working perfectly well with no problems for over a year. Last week it suddenly blocked my internet connection and the only way I can log on is by disabling Norton. Now I have no PC protection because of this. Can anyone help please!?

As a professional who deals with this kind of thing on a daily basis, I can say your experience is very common. Get rid of Norton (Uninstall from Control Panel) and try AVG, Avira, NOD32 or the like.

Why it works for a while then stops is anybody's guess. But this is the usual pattern.

BTW, McAfee is nearly as bad.
