revving coming from my ford ka when i stop?

A few days before my ford ka doing the same problem and i do the same thing , clean therot and idle speed controller with a cleaner , ( which can clean oil , greece and carbon) and fix it again , but alas it,s not done , i mean remain the same and and Finally i do it was the FINAL TOUCH :)
" Is Lose Your Bettry,s Negative Lead off and remain it for 1 - 2 min and then fix it " and it,s DONE and now my Ford is Running fine ;) .
I am in germany and i ask for the idle speed controller price was 130 euro from a Ford Dealer

We have had a Ka for years now, every now and again it over revs between gear changes, but it's very easy to sort out. I use a can of carb/injector cleaner (Halfords do one £5.99), take the connecting hose off (large black pipe with jubilee clips on each end, between the air filter and the the throttle assembly), engine switched off spray the cleaner around and inside the throttle, leave it for 5 or 10 mins (grab a coffee) then start the car as the cleaner does through it won't start for a few seconds until petrol takes over again. When it's running spray bursts of cleaner into the the assembly while keeping the revs up so it does not cut out, use around a 1/4 of a can of cleaner, put the car back together and it should be fine. I have used this method several times and it's been great and lasts a while before needing to be done again.

It is a very common fault on 99% of fords, it is the ISCV (Idle Speed Control Valve) needs removing from the inlet manifold, cleaning thouroughly and replacing, should take a diy mech around 1hr 30m

Hi agnes, my wife's Ka does exactly the same thing, however it is intermitant. If your problem is also intermitant it might not be the mechanical problem Bob mentioned. Bob if you see this what do you think an intermitant problem of this nature might result from.

sounds like the throttle is siezed up on the engine m8.wd40 will sort it out
