how to stop my 1995 2.0 glx mondeo cutting out?

hi there when im slowing down to approach junction/roundabout engine just cuts out when i press on clutch to change down gears anyone know anything about thanks steve

Check power steering pressure switch is connected (under bonnet, drivers side screwed into power steering pipework) Its job is increase engine speed to prevent stalling when manouvering at low road speeds.
