Great solution, works a treat, the only thing I had to do was to take the heating tank out altogether, there are seven screws to remove, then you can clean out the chamber properly, in my case I had to drill out the exit tap as it was filled with hard scale.
Everthing worked fine afterwards.

Have the same model, and the same problem, in that my hand unit would work fine, but the carpet cleaner water spray would not work. After checking the belts, etc. with no luck, I decided that the problem was a clogged water line. I took the handle off (two long bolts and nuts), and then removed the two screws from below the power switch, one on each side. After all four screw are removed, You can remove the black hose and cord rack from the unit. Now look straight down from where the handle was connected, and you can see a black, spring loaded button (releases water when trigger is pressed). Just above the black button, you will see a green snap. By pressing down, half the front of the unit will open part way (Because of an electrical connection to the red light), exposing the water lines. Look at the clear water lines where they are connected to the aluminum unit, and you should see some soap build up clogging one or both lines. Using a small pair of pliers pinch the line holders open and back them up their tubes. Now carefully remove the tubes from the aluminum unit. With a small piece of wire, or something similar, clean out all the particles clogging both ports. Reattach both lines and pinch on the line holders. Now comes the hard part! The aluminum unit is held in place at four locations with rubber orange colored socks that go into the front and back of the green housing. You have to take your time, helps to have someone holding a flashlight for you, and line up everything so that the housing can close properly and you can snap the unit back together. Replace the cord wrap, and the four screws, and you should be up and running. I would imagine to avoid similar problems in the future, it would be a good idea to run a gallon of clean hot water thru the unit.Good Luck
