Mend Alba CTV3418BLK Television Remote Standby

How can i fix an alba CTV3418BLK?

when i switch the tv on it goes directly to standby as it should only trouble is it wont switch over to view with either the remote control or the buttons on the front,therefore it is permanently stuck on standby.Would be greatful if anyone can gimme some hints
