Mend Ford Focus CC Open Water Leaking

Boot won’t open on 2007ford focus cc?

The boot on my 2007ford focus has stopped opening I do however have some water leaking into the boot

I remember going into the boot (I think it was a Ford) via the back seat and you could use a square bar the same as a household door handle bar and it fitted into a hole in the lock and you could turn it and open the lock,I think you needed someone on the outside to lift the boot.Drop the back seat and have a look.
